Submission – ASIC regulatory simplification

The Super Members Council (SMC) supports ASIC’s efforts to simplify super regulation by providing relief and streamlining compliance, which benefits both super funds and members through clearer, more accessible frameworks and reduced administrative burden. Transitioning to electronic signatures, digital lodgement, and consolidating legacy relief instruments will save costs, improve compliance consistency, and strengthen ASIC’s regulatory capacity. SMC urges ASIC to work with government, APRA, and Treasury on broader legislative reform to truly simplify the super regulatory environment.
